Compassionate Counselling
Support, clarity, and care—when you need it most.
We all face seasons in life when the path forward feels uncertain or heavy. Counselling offers a safe and confidential space to reflect, understand, and begin to move forward.
As a qualified counsellor with a background in pastoral care and over 15 years' experience in health and social care leadership, I bring a compassionate, grounded approach to therapeutic support. My counselling style is person-centred and inclusive, shaped by a deep respect for each individual’s lived experience, beliefs, and identity.
Whether you are navigating change, carrying grief, exploring your sense of self, or simply seeking a space to feel heard, I offer a calm, confidential setting—online or in person—where you can speak freely and be met with empathy and insight.
What can I expect from a counselling session?
Sessions are tailored to your pace and goals, and I integrate a range of approaches depending on your needs—including talk therapy, narrative work, mindfulness, and pastoral reflection.
In a counselling session, you’ll have the opportunity to talk about what’s on your mind in a confidential and supportive setting. I’ll listen carefully, without judgment, and help you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. There’s no pressure to “have it all figured out”—counselling is about creating space for reflection, clarity, and change in a way that feels safe and manageable for you.
The session generally lasts 50 minutes whether online or in person.
01
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, unsure of yourself, or facing a life change, counselling can help.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to benefit from it—sometimes we just need a space to pause and make sense of things. Whether you’re navigating loss, identity, relationships, stress, or something hard to name, it’s okay to reach out.
Together, we’ll work out what’s most helpful for you.
02
Is what I share confidential?
Yes—confidentiality is central to counselling.
What you share in our sessions stays private, with a few important legal exceptions (such as if there’s a risk of serious harm to you or others, or where required by law).
I’ll always explain these exceptions clearly before we begin, and I’m committed to creating a space that feels safe and respectful for you.
03
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific issue, while others find ongoing support helpful over a longer period.
We’ll regularly check in on how things are going, and you’re always free to decide the pace and duration that feels right for you. There’s no fixed timeline—your needs shape the process.
